For God So Loved

Hi ladies !!

We are having a quick look at  John 3 today.  The  verses here that caught my attention were 17 & 18  “For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved. He (she) who believes in Him is not condemned;  – – – “
Isn’t that the best news!!
We can so easily condemn ourselves.  We can get down on ourselves and  get judgmental, we can make the way to God hard and full of rules and things we have to do. But you know what –  He makes it simple.  He is for us. He doesn’t condemn us or discard us. He finds us. He sent His Son to save us and daily He gives us His life.

Forget giving yourself a hard time today, forget condemning or judging yourself today  – it just depresses and demotivates us. Condemnation is not God’s plan so why do we make it ours.

If we believe in Jesus then we can relax and enjoy His immense love today.  We can bask in it & let it fill us. We can let it motivate us towards loving others. So much more fun, so much more rewarding.

Have a wonderful day !!

Please Pray

The Crossway has been a supporter of Open Doors International for many years. Open Doors is  currently asking for prayer and letters of support for Mary, the wife of a martyred Tanzanian christian who  is in need of comfort and encouragement.

Open Doors writes “Your loving words of encouragement will be a source of God’s comfort and support to Mary in Tanzania, who lost her husband Elia in an unprovoked machete attack after a late night church service in October 2013. Mary has two young children, Prosper and Prisca. When asked how you, her brothers and sisters around the world can pray,  Mary replied, “I need wisdom on the way forward. I have these young children and must now figure out how to meet their needs. I plan to start a small business and I pray it will prosper. Also pray for my heart to heal – – – it hit me so hard that I cannot even express. Only God can heal and restore.”

If you would like to write a short letter of encouragement to Mary you can do so via email and send it  to connect@thecrossway.com.au Pastor MaryAnn will print and send the letters in one bundle. If you would prefer you can send your letter or card direct to Open Doors Australia, PO Box 6237 Frenchs Forest, NSW, 2086 by30th June 2014
