It’s Afternoon Tea Time to raise funds for the Cancer Council

on Saturday the 21st of May from 2.30 – 4.30pm
There will be scrumptious sweets, savouries and a variety of delicious things to drink.
Give aways and goodies being raffled.
$5.00 minimum donation please.

Ladies this is a great opportunity for us to get together and to bless our community and raise some money for the Cancer Council. There will be plenty of room for all so please invite a friend, a neighbour, a sister, a workmate or anyone you think might enjoy a delicious and fun afternoon tea amongst a great bunch of ladies (that’s you!!). If you enjoy making afternoon tea treats, sweet or savoury, we would love you to bring something along. Jo Falconer is organising the eats so please see her on Sunday or by txt or phone. If food is not your thing you may like to help by contributing an item to the raffle basket or just spreading the word and bringing your lovely self and a few ladies along. Invitations are available at church.
If you can’t make it but would like to make a donation you can do so over the next two Sundays or if you can’t make it but would still like to enjoy some afternoon tea please see Cherry as she has a great “home delivery” option up her sleeve.

My 10 commandments – the laws that govern, demotivate, and entrap me.
1. I must not fail.
2. I must not disappoint others.
3. I must always have a good answer.
4. I must be responsible for the emotions of others.
5. I must make other people happy.
6. I must keep the peace.
7. I must suppress my true feelings to secure the love of others.
8. I must endure hardships alone because no one else really cares.
9. I must be silent about my struggles because I have to be strong.
10. I must not admit that I need help because I have to keep it all together.
These laws are rooted deeply in my heart. But God is always gently replacing them with the greatest law: LOVE.
No longer do I have to keep these rules to GET or EARN love.
The cross smashed all my sacred commandments.
The “I MUST” law is now the “I AM LOVED” law.
I AM LOVED so I can fail.
I AM LOVED so I can ask for help.
I AM LOVED so I can share my struggles.
A law paid in blood.
A law paved in grace.
A law of love sewn into the deepest layers of my heart.
Stay awake to love because God is always at work breaking our rules and replacing them with love.
