Imagine being at the tomb that day to find Him missing…seeking the living among the dead.  Would we have believed or would it have seemed like nonsense to us as it did His disciples.  If we had been on the road to Emmaus, would we have recognized our risen Lord walking and talking with us?  All the events that had taken place happened exactly as prophesied hundreds of years earlier and yet they missed it.

As we fellowship with Him and let Him speak to us through His Word, our spiritual eyes will be opened, and we too can say, “Didn’t our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32) Let’s not miss Him, but let us embrace Him, love Him, believe Him and follow Him closely for Jesus is our Resurrection and our Hope!
